There are many Ving Tsun Instructors with absolutely no practical experience openly teaching Ving Tsun, sadly even some lets say "high profile teachers" are guilty of this too! As a sudent if you are happy to take their word that what they are teaching is correct, based on the fact that they have never used "their Ving Tsun skills" then carry on training with them and read no further. We at Direct Ving Tsun believe it is impossible to learn practical Ving Tsun fully from someone who has never had to use it in an emergency/real situation. Let me put it another way which may help you understand what im saying, would you learn to skydive from a teacher who has never actually jumped? Of course not! that person may know all the theory which is great but without any practical exposure will have so much missing when they pass this limited knowledge on to you!
